There Will Be Blood

When samurai-inspired performance group OdAm fEI mUd takes the stage tonight for a Blood Sucking Feast, there will be blood. Lots of it. Gallons. “We’re rigging up the warehouse venue to bleed fake blood,” explains group founder Daniel Crosier. “It’s non-toxic, so it’s not going to irritate you. It’s washable, too.” He notes that the blood will drip “from the roof, with pumps and everything, all night long.” All of this gore serves to tell a story of a cycle of tyranny that Crosier says has relevance not just to our present time, but to the universal nature of power’s corrupting influence.

Accompanying the bloodletting will be music from the Construct and Pistis Sophia, plus a fetish performance from the delightfully wicked Miss D’Vour. Doors open at 9 for the 10 p.m. show at GLOB!, 3551 Brighton Boulevard. Admission to the 21-and-up performance is $5, and attendees are encouraged to wear white for maximum blood visibility.
